MINUTES OF A MEETING OF DUNHAM HILL & HAPSFORD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON THE 5TH SEPTEMBER 2017 AT 7.40PM IN THE VILLAGE HALL

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON THE 4TH JULY 2017

ARISING FROM MINUTES.

 

  1. Travellers – Appeal for Gethsemane Park was dismissed.  Report of present position was discussed.
  2. Landfill site – Report of Gowy Landfill site meeting given by Cllr. Johnson. Photographs taken by councillors had been forwarded to all councillors. Mr C Bennion is now the manager and will attend one of our meetings.  Cllr Johnson is to attend Gowy Landfill Liason Group Meeting.
  3. Police Commissioner – A meeting with Town & Parish Council representatives had taken place on 25/7/17
  4. Wind Farm – Next meeting will be held on the 13/10/17 at Castle Park
  5. Gowy Partnership Meeting.-.Will be held on the 19/9/17 at Barrow

 

CLERKS REPORT.

 

  1. Police – All bulletins and reports passed to councillors
  2. Hob Lane bridge – Clerk reported to Network Rail who inspected site, area was found to be safe.
  3. Hapsford signs -Road and advertising signs had been removed.
  4. A56 Road edges and drains – Clerk had requested CW&C to carry out the cleaning and clearing. Speed Camera on A56 has been refused
  5. Defibrillator – Clerk had renewed the pads.  The defibrillator in the Hapsford box had been vandalised.  Clerk had reported to Police and North West Ambulance.  Repairs to be carried out and a new box ordered.
  6. Litter bin, Talbot Road – Clerk had requested CW&C to purchase a bin for this area

 

CORRESPONDENCE.

 

  1. Bus shelters and benches – Quotes for painting had been received.  Proposed by Chairman, seconded by Cllr Tiplady that ‘Quote from Mr S. Snape be accepted’. All present in favour.
  2. AON Insurance – The company has decided to cease its involvement in local council insurance.  AON have arranged for the renewal invitation by BHIB Limited to quote when our existing insurance becomes due on 1st June 2018.
  3. Cheshire Association of Local Councils – Cheshire Area Forum will be held on 3/10/17 at CW&C, Nicholas Street, Chester.
  4. Frodsham Town Council –
  5. Parish Ground Maintenance – Proposed Litter Picking and Cleaning Contract was discussed and tenders are to be sought
  6. Local Government Boundary Commission – Draft recommendations received and accepted but we are in a different ward.
